Apparently the blasted beast of extreme metal needed, well, something. And something surely wasnt a legible moniker, cuz dammit all I didnt know what I was buying, and I am still very throroughly confused. Anata play music of the sort that makes people stand back and calmy let their jaws hit the floor while looking wide eyed at their friends saying only "shiiiiiiiiittttttttt, man"! It isnt death metal, not thrash, not grind, not power metal, not anything really, and yet at the same time seems to be everything. Maybe this album is God, maybe this album is something everyone and their dog (or cat or parakeet or other creature) needs to hear. Maybe I'm just simply at a loss for words and trying to articulate the genious of this sonic escape is truly futile. I don't know man, I really don't. All I know is that this album is right up there on my list of greatest things I have ever heard, period. Supposedly Anata has other albums out that came previous to "Under A Stone With No Insciption" and I can't find them anywhere. But that's my problem, not yours. Your problem is not owning this absolute gem of musical insanity. You can remedy this problem. Go buy it. Download it. Steal it. Are you getting the point yet??? Damn, I have to go listen to it again, please excuse me.
