Singer Bernard Weiss has been Axxis' trademark, but now they've decided to add female vocals as well. We already heard Lakonia on the previous CD, but now her role has become bigger, and I like it! You can hear her in "Take My Hand", "Dance With The Dead" and the ballad "Don't Leave Me" (really nice harmonies there) and it will turn a few more heads I'm sure. Otherwise they play melodic metal like so many German bands do and I've never really liked them, but I have to admit I find more faster and energetic songs on this album then I expected. "Dance With The Dead" is certainly a good example, I also like "Tales Of Glory Island", "Will God Remember Me" (reminds me of Vanden Plas in the chorus), but most of the other songs don't have the same level I'm afraid. It's mostly pleasant to listen to, but towards the end I find it more and more difficult (listening often to get to know the songs isn't helping). For the fan of this genre probably a good buy (also because of the great production - mixed and mastered by Dennis Ward), but otherwise best check first.
