Melting Flesh was founded in Colombia in January of 2001 by inactive members of Sickness Harold and Engelbert. Melting Flesh has released a few demos and also contributed songs to a compilation record entitled "True Metal Subversion" and a split CD with Lividity, Dyxpraxia, Bane Of Extincense and Spinefed. "Good Addiction Butchery" is their first full length album, it's being released by Dan's Crypt Records.
"Good Addiction Butchery" starts off with "Blood Orgy", the track begins with a sample from a porno. As soon as the sample is over the drumming begins and it's joined by the guitars and vocals after a while. Melting Flesh also uses the same formula that many other brutal death metal bands use and guess what…it works! From the guttural vocals and killer guitar riffs to the brutal drumming packed with blast beats, these guys deliver brutal in-your-face death metal. One thing I really liked about this CD was the fact that there's a lot of variation in the tracks, you'll be able to go crazy in the pit on some parts and bang your head to the other parts. The production quality of "Good Addiction Butchery" is ok, the only thing I didn't like is that the vocals tend to disappear when the blast beats kick in, but besides that I have no other complaints about the production.
The best tracks on "Good Addiction Butchery" are: "Fetus Head Collection", "Fucking Colostomy" and "Licking Sweet Pussies". I also have to mention that the cover is pretty cool, I really like it.
If you like brutal death metal with an underground sound and lots of gore, be sure to add this album to your collection. Be sure to keep an eye out for any other releases by Melting Flesh.
